January 28th, 2008 — Trivia
In real life, the Blackjack Team was mostly composed of Asian-American males. However, studio executives have cast mostly white actors to portray these men in the film. Ben Mezrich, author of Bringing Down the House, has noted a “stereotypical” casting process on the part of Hollywood.
The scenes in the MIT bar were actually filmed across the Charles River at the Boston University Pub. MIT would not allow filming on campus. Filming also took place at the Christian Science Center in Boston, Massachusetts.
This is the third film in which Kevin Spacey and Kate Bosworth have starred together. The first was Beyond the Sea, which Spacey directed, and the second was Superman Returns. The pair will again star together in the Superman Returns sequel Superman: The Man of Steel.

January 10th, 2008 — Synopsis
The movie 21 coming up in 2007 is just one of those that you hear about far in advance and get excited for, although a specific release date is not set, and it hasn’t begun filming (but will in February), The project, produced by Kevin Spacey among others, and directed by Robert Luketic of previously Legally Blonde (uh oh) and Monster-in-Law, is about a group of young men from MIT who become experts in the art of card counting and head to Vegas to beat the casinos.
The film is based on Ben Mezrich’s bestselling non-fiction book “Bringing Down the House: The Inside Story of Six M.I.T. Students Who Took Vegas for Millions.” Spacey optioned it in 2002 and will also star in it as well as produce. Recent news from Variety has stated that Spacey has found a lead: Jim Sturgess, who will play one of the MIT students.

December 8th, 2007 — Larry Fishbourne
Biography:
Critically hailed for his forceful, militant, authoritarian roles, Laurence Fishburne, came out of the black theater in New York. At the age of 10, he appeared in his first play, “In My Many Names and Days,” at a cramped little theater space in Manhattan. In 1973, at the age of 12, Laurence won a recurring role on the daytime soap “One Life to Live” (1968) that lasted three seasons, and subsequently made his film debut in the ghetto-themed Cornbread, Earl and Me (1975). At 14 Francis Ford Coppola cast him in Apocalypse Now (1979), which filmed for two years in the Phillippines.Laurence won nearly every prestigious theater award in the books (Tony, Outer Critics Circle, Drama Desk and Theatre World). It was around the time of this career hallmark that he began billing himself as “Laurence” instead of “Larry.”
Earning multiple NAACP Image awards for his contribution to the entertainment business, he has two children, Langston and Montana, from his first marriage to actress Hajna O. Moss, who appeared with him in the films Gardens of Stone (1987) and A Rage in Harlem (1991). In September, 2002 he married Cuban-American actress Gina Torres.
He also joined to the cast of movie “21 “!As you can see Laurence Fishburne choose only good films to play!
